Normally, the courts are reticent to lift a geographic restriction if the father is very involved with the children however, they do look at each case on a case by case basis. Talk to a family lawyer in your area and see what the Judge's policy is. He or she will also be able to tell you which factors you have that are favorable to moving and which you need to work on in order to get the Judge to seriously consider allowing the move. Some factors that are considered are reasons for moving, amount of time the father spends with the children, support you have in the area and whether you are able to provide financial assistance for the children to travel back to see their father for visitation.
