My husband moved from our home July 17, 2011. He mentioned filing for divorce. Could marriage
counseling be court ordered?

Additional Details:
Believe he may attempt to file on irreconcilable differences...
Legal Topic Area: Family Law in CA

Generally, the courts in CA. will NOT order the parties to attend marriage counseling. The grounds for divorce of "irreconcilable differences" is the primary reason listed on a divorce petition for the divorce and simply means the two of you do not get along. If one party desires a divorce or "dissolution", the courts in CA will grant it.

This response is general in nature and should not be construed as legal advice.
