First, please understand that I complain when I have nothing to do, and have an equal set of complaints when there is too much to do.
Today was one of the later types of days. Lots of running around, lots of dealing with clients, and not much sitting around. I have to admit that sometimes I am an adrenaline junkie. Today, I represented a client in a mediation. Mediation is normally 4 difficult hours of soothing a client while looking ferocious to the opposing side. I am pretty good at it but I tend to be drained to the core.
Then, after mediation, it was a rush back to the office to knock out 5 consults. Two of those retained me for cases. In between each consult: at least 3 or 4 calls from people I don't know. They are a mix of people seeking answers and vendors seeking sales. Sometimes I can barely remember my own name.
But in the end it is the adrenaline that rules. I crave that feeling and hope it never ends.
