Divorce Categories in Nevada

Nevada divorces generally fall into one of two categories, “contested” and “uncontested”. Of these, a contested divorce is the more stressful, and is the result of one of the two parties either disagreeing with the divorce being filed altogether, or disagreements between the two parties that cannot be amicably resolved.  In contested divorces, common subjects of dispute include: custody and child support, division of assets, debt allocation and alimony (spousal support).
